Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance

By using SESLIO, you agree to these Terms. If you use SESLIO for a company, publisher, agency, client, or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What SESLIO Does

SESLIO is a technology provider. The service takes text, documents, URLs, book content, settings, and other materials provided by users and uses AI systems to create audio or related media outputs.

We do not act as a publisher, rights clearance service, legal reviewer, editor, or copyright advisor. Our AI system converts provided text and settings to audio; that is the technical service.

3. Your Content, Rights, and License to SESLIO

“User Content” means any text, book, article, document, URL, image, cover art, prompt, instruction, data, voice material, or other content that you submit, upload, provide, or direct SESLIO to access or process. You retain any ownership rights you already have in your User Content. SESLIO does not acquire ownership of your User Content merely because you use the service.

You give SESLIO a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, cache, copy, reproduce, transmit, reformat, modify as technically necessary, and otherwise process User Content solely to provide, operate, secure, support, and troubleshoot the service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms. SESLIO may sublicense these rights only to its hosting, AI, voice, storage, payment, and other service providers to the extent needed to provide the service. This license ends when the relevant User Content is deleted from SESLIO's active systems, except for copies retained in backups or as required for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement.

You are fully responsible for your User Content and for anything you create, download, publish, share, sell, or otherwise use from SESLIO. You represent and warrant that you own the User Content or have all rights, licenses, permissions, consents, notices, and legal bases needed for SESLIO and its service providers to process it and for you to use the resulting output as intended. This includes copyright, related rights, trademark, privacy, publicity, voice, biometric, contract, confidentiality, data-protection, and platform-policy rights.

You must not submit confidential information you are not authorized to disclose, personal data you are not authorized to process, content obtained by bypassing access controls or paywalls, or content that is illegal, infringing, deceptive, defamatory, harassing, harmful, or otherwise violates another person's rights.

SESLIO has no obligation to pre-screen, monitor, investigate, or verify User Content, the source of User Content, your ownership or permissions, or the lawfulness of your intended use. Any acceptance or processing of User Content is automated or operational and is not legal approval, rights clearance, or confirmation that the content or output is lawful.

4. Copyright and Rights Clearance

Converting, translating, adapting, narrating, reproducing, distributing, publicly performing, or making content available can require separate permissions from authors, publishers, performers, licensors, or other rights holders. SESLIO does not provide those permissions and cannot determine whether an exception or limitation, such as fair use, applies to your circumstances.

You choose the User Content, processing instructions, audience, publication method, and commercial or non-commercial use of each output. SESLIO does not act as a publisher, distributor, rights-clearance service, or agent for you and does not guarantee that User Content or any output is copyright-free, non-infringing, or cleared for a particular use.

If a rights holder, platform, publisher, author, narrator, artist, agency, or other third party makes a claim related to your User Content, instructions, or output, you are responsible for resolving that claim. SESLIO may preserve relevant records and may reject, stop processing, remove, or disable access to content or outputs when SESLIO reasonably believes they may violate law, these Terms, platform policies, or third-party rights.

SESLIO maintains a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, accounts of users who repeatedly infringe intellectual-property rights. Where applicable, SESLIO accommodates and does not interfere with standard technical measures used by copyright owners to identify or protect copyrighted works. SESLIO's right to review or act on content does not create a general duty to monitor the service.

5. Copyright Complaints and Counter-Notices

If you believe material available through SESLIO infringes your copyright, send a written notice with the subject line “Copyright Notice” to team@seslio.com. A complete notice should include:

1. Your physical or electronic signature and a statement that you own the relevant exclusive right or are authorized to act for its owner.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, or a representative list if one notice covers multiple works.
3. Identification and exact electronic location of the material at issue, including any URL, job identifier, file name, account information, or other detail reasonably sufficient for SESLIO to locate it.
4. Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent, or the law.
6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, where applicable, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner of the allegedly infringed right.

SESLIO may forward a complaint, including the complainant's contact information, to the affected user or other relevant parties. SESLIO may request more information and may remove or disable access to material while reviewing a complaint.

If your material was removed or disabled because of a copyright complaint and you believe that happened because of mistake or misidentification, you may send a written counter-notice to the same address. It should identify the removed material and its former location, include your physical or electronic signature and contact information, and include the statements and consent to jurisdiction required by applicable law. SESLIO may send the counter-notice to the complainant and, where legally permitted, may restore the material unless the complainant timely confirms that legal action has been filed.

Knowingly submitting a materially false complaint or counter-notice may create legal liability. These procedures do not limit SESLIO's right to remove or restrict material for other reasons under these Terms.

6. AI Output Quality and Unpredictability

AI systems are probabilistic and can behave in unexpected ways. SESLIO does its best to generate useful audio, but we do not guarantee that audio quality, pronunciation, pacing, language, translation, voice consistency, emotion, tone, editing, metadata, file format, or overall result will meet your expectations.

Outputs may contain errors, omissions, additions, artifacts, mistranslations, mispronunciations, noise, unusual phrasing, unstable voices, incomplete sections, or other unexpected results. You must review generated audio before using it publicly or commercially.

SESLIO provides generated outputs as-is. A result being unexpected, low quality, unsuitable, rejected by a platform, or different from what you expected does not create a guarantee, warranty, refund obligation, or liability unless required by law or agreed in writing.

7. Generated Audio and Similar Outputs

Subject to these Terms and any third-party rights, you may use generated audio files that you lawfully create through SESLIO. SESLIO does not guarantee that any output is unique, copyright-free, non-infringing, commercially usable, or accepted by Spotify, YouTube, Storytel, app stores, publishers, distributors, or any other platform.

SESLIO does not promise that copyright, neighboring rights, or other exclusive rights will arise in an AI-generated output or that you will be able to register, own, or enforce such rights. Similar or identical output may be generated for other users.

You are responsible for labels, disclosures, approvals, metadata, distribution rules, monetization rules, and any AI-content or synthetic-media requirements that apply where you use the output.

8. Business Customer References

If you use SESLIO for a company or other organization, then unless that organization has notified SESLIO in writing that its identity is confidential or may not be used, the organization permits SESLIO to identify it by name as a SESLIO customer or client in SESLIO's customer lists, proposals, presentations, sales or marketing emails, and websites.

This permission is limited to use of the organization's name. It does not permit SESLIO to disclose User Content, confidential information, usage data, or commercial terms, or to state or imply the organization's endorsement. The organization may withdraw this permission at any time by emailing team@seslio.com. After receiving the request, SESLIO will stop new references and remove the organization's name from materials under SESLIO's control within a commercially reasonable period; previously sent emails, distributed materials, and archival copies may remain.

9. Accounts, Credits, and Availability

You are responsible for your account, credentials, usage, uploaded files, generated files, and backups. SESLIO may change, pause, limit, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

Processing may fail, take longer than expected, or become unavailable. Unless required by law or agreed in writing, fees or credits used for processing are not refundable simply because an output does not meet your expectations.

10. Files, Storage, and Deletion

SESLIO may process and store submitted content, generated audio, logs, and related technical data to provide the service, operate accounts, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability. You should keep your own copies of important files.

We may delete or restrict access to files, jobs, accounts, or data when needed for security, operations, legal compliance, abuse prevention, unpaid balances, or service maintenance.

11. Prohibited Use

You may not use SESLIO to break the law, infringe or misappropriate rights, impersonate people without permission, clone or use a person's voice or likeness without required authorization, create deceptive synthetic media, mislead listeners, distribute spam, harass others, bypass security or access controls, remove or alter rights-management information, overload the service, reverse engineer the service, or interfere with other users.

You may not use SESLIO in a way that violates the rules of third-party platforms, voice providers, payment providers, cloud providers, or distribution channels connected to your workflow.

12. SESLIO Intellectual Property

SESLIO and its licensors retain all rights in the service and its software, models, workflows, interfaces, designs, documentation, trademarks, and other materials, excluding User Content. Subject to these Terms, SESLIO gives you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to access and use the service for its intended purpose. No other right or license is granted by implication, estoppel, or otherwise.

You may not copy, sell, sublicense, distribute, modify, create derivative works from, or use SESLIO's technology or materials except as expressly allowed by these Terms or mandatory law.

13. No Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SESLIO is provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, uninterrupted availability, accuracy, and error-free operation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

14. Liability Limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SESLIO will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, punitive, or lost-profit damages, or for loss of data, reputation, business, revenue, goodwill, content, generated audio, platform access, publishing opportunities, or third-party claims relating to User Content or outputs.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SESLIO's total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid SESLIO for the service in the three months before the claim or USD 100.

15. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless SESLIO, its affiliates, personnel, licensors, and service providers from claims, demands, proceedings, damages, judgments, losses, liabilities, penalties, settlements, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising out of or related to your User Content, instructions, outputs, publication or monetization, breach of these Terms, or violation of law or third-party rights, including copyright, related rights, trademark, privacy, publicity, voice, confidentiality, and data-protection rights.

SESLIO may control the defense and settlement of a covered claim, and you agree to provide reasonable cooperation. You may not settle a claim in a way that admits liability by or imposes obligations on SESLIO without SESLIO's prior written consent. If you are a consumer, this section applies only to the extent permitted by mandatory consumer law.

16. Changes and Termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of SESLIO after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for SESLIO or others, failed to pay amounts owed, or used the service in a harmful or unlawful way.
